Pattachitra 

Origin: Patachitra art, i.e. the form to paint either on cloth, palm leaf or walls, was associated with old murals of Odisha especially Jagannath culture, which suggests this to be at least 12th century old. One of such old pattachitra can be Kanchi Vijaya on the Jagamohan of Jagannath temple and painting of Buddha Vjaya on the Jagamohan of Laxmi temple. In recent times, pattachitra paintings are done on sarees as well on personal requests. Here painting made by hand, depicting folklore/hindu epics/lord krishna and radha/lord jagganath so on. Fabric colors are chosen for this, having resemblance to traditional colours.
